Television first began as small screens with reddish orange output display around the year 1860s. First it was not called television until the term became popular during a world fair held in Paris. The term was made popular by a Russian named Constantin Perskyi. The use of television grew in which most people make use of analog signals for the TV sets. Antennas are used before in which the higher the antennas get, the better the reception will be. Viewers who are using outdoor type of antennas are lucky if they install their antennas on tall steel poles mounted on top of roofs. The clearer the picture will get if there is nothing obstructing the way for the outdoor antenna to get signal. Viewers who are using indoor type of antenna will have to bear with it since it could only get a clear reception if the broadcasting channel is using equipments to strengthen their reach.
The birth of digital television came around the year 1960s on top of the mountains of Pennsylvania. They put up very large antennas on the highest mountain and let cables such as fiber optics run from the antenna to each household of the community. This way all the viewers within that community were able to get good reception from different channels not only locally but internationally. The use of cable TV grew popular when cable providers provide more programming choices to viewers. Satellite TV also came along after cable TV but did not grow popular until recently. With this different choices available, TV packages were made for subscribers so that it will be easier for them to choose channels available and at the same time save money.
